The gasifier installed at CeyMac Rubber company at Horana Sri Lanka This gasifier at C.W. Mackie & Company , Horana Sri Lanka was Enerfab team's first succsessfully commisionned gasifier in 2006. The unit approximatly saves 15 Million Sri Lanka Rupees per annum at today's Disel price of 72 Rs per liter. Enerfab helped the customer to build up its fuel wood supply chain by signing a contract to supply fuel wood for the first two yesr. Today the company has established its own wood supply chain and also manages to do its regular maintanance work using their own maintanance crew at the factory.

What benefits does an industrialist get by switching to biomass from fossil Fuels?
Financial Benifits.
Environmental Benifits
Using biomass as a fuel will cut down the amount of green hous gasas emited to the atmosphere thus contributing to reduce global warming. You will be able to get tangible benifits like carbon credits and also get the green tag on your products and attract markets who value green products. Best of all you will be doing your future genaration your part of the job!
Social Benifits
Using of Gliricidia wood gives social and environmental benefits in addition to financial saving. Industrialist will pay to villagers for the supplying of fuel wood, instead of paying for Fossil Fuels which finally flows out from the country to purchase crude oil.
It enhances the livligood of villagers by providing an additional income through the sale of fuel wood. Further, Gliricidia leaves generated through this process, is valued as a fodder and fertilizer among farmers. Hence this conversion uplifts the life of the villagers in the country while making the business more profitable for the industrialist.
Features of Producer gas Genarated through Gasifiers.
Schematic Diagram of a typical gasification system for thermal energy genaration.
Gassifer is an equipment which converts Biomass to a combustible gas which is almost like LPG This generated gas is named as Producer Gas, Syn Gas, Wood Gas etc. The most important factor is that this Wood gas can be used to generate energy through both Internal combustion and External Combustion. Hence it can be used in an IC Engine or in a Burners which are the two most encountered methods of energy generation methodology in industry.
